Biography:
I have a varied academic and research background with a BSc (Hons) Sport Science and Physiology, MSc in Oncology, and a cell and molecular biology-based PhD in Respiratory Medicine. My postdoc positions have included cardiac stem cell studies, systematic reviews, individual patient meta-anlaysis, epidemiological and clinical trial research in musculoskeletal pain, osteoarthritis, Covid-19 and physical activity. I am currently completing an MRes in Bioinformatics and building on research interests in gut microbiome and exercise as well as the impact of socio-economic deprivation on microbiome diversity.
