Call for Applications - Online Course in Research Writing (Physical Sciences)

We are pleased to invite applications for our next online course in research writing. This free course will be hosted on AuthorAID Moodle, our e-learning system.

This course is meant for early career researchers in developing countries who are working in the physical sciences. The course participants will build their knowledge and skills in writing research papers by going through e-learning content, completing activities, and engaging in discussions with their course colleagues and the facilitator (me).

The course will run for 5 weeks from January 13, 2014 to February 16, 2014. The participants will need to spend 4 to 6 hours on the course activities every week.

The deadline to apply is December 31, 2013 (10 PM GMT). We plan to select 30 to 40 applicants and notify the successful applicants around January 8, 2014.

You can apply for a place on this course if you are an early career researcher in a developing country and you are working in any of the broad disciplines listed below.

You should be actively involved in a research project in order to take this course, for the course includes writing assignments in which you have to write about your research.
