Alejandra is a biologist with a master's degree in Science and Technology Journalism from Texas A&M University. She works at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, in Monterrey, where she teaches science writing to graduate and undergraduate students. She facilitates our research writing courses in Latin America and co-facilitates on some of our global online courses.

Keynote speakers:

Olubukola Oluranti Babalola: (Pr.Sci.Nat, FASLP, MASSAF, MTWAS)- Professor / Research Director at North-West University, South Africa.

Olubukola is the Vice President of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World. She is an NRF rated scientist with an MBA from the North-West University Business School in South Africa. Olubukola trained at standard laboratories in Israel and South Africa as a postdoctoral researcher. She holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions and has worked in the field for over 20 years. She is dedicated to developing capacity and has graduated 21 doctoral fellows, a score of master's students, a gross of Honors students, and has over 200 publications to her credit. Olubukola is a member of two Elsevier journals' editorial boards. She has won several accolades, including being a nominee for GenderInSite 2020.

Dr. Farooq Azam Rathore - Dr. Farooq Azam Rathore - Consultant and Associate Professor, Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM) Pakistan.

Dr. Farooq Azam Rathore works as Associate Professor and Rehabilitation Medicine Consultant, at the Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine (AFIRM) at Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Dr Rathore is also the National Representative of Pakistan for the International Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a member of the Expert Advisory Panel on Rehabilitation for the World Health Organization. His expertise includes Musculoskeletal disorders, Rheumatologic disorders and Paediatric disabilities - with over 10 years of experience Farooq provides mentoring, teaching and training to medical students and other healthcare professionals on how to conduct and publish high quality research.
