Biography:
A university graduate from the University of Dar es Salaam. I studied Statistics and completed Bachelor degree in 2000, Masters in 2002 and PhD. In 2010. During my PhD program, I worked with the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics, Umea University and Swiss Tropical Instituted, Basil University. I worked with Joint Malaria Program in Tanzania as a data manager/statistician, and then joined with the University of Dar es Salaam, held the post of assistant lecturer as well as Lecturer. I was also worked with the Malaria Control and Partnership in Africa as a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor, where I was attached to the National Malaria Control program to provide technical support in development M&E tool; transfer knowledge and capacity around monitoring and evaluating within integrated health systems approaches; facilitate utilization of data to inform policy advocacy strategy on malaria, including the mobilization and allocation of national and international resources; and M&E baseline, monitoring and end-line surveys/assessments and analysis of results. Currently, I am teaching statistical courses and doing research. My interests lie in infectious diseases epidemiology and Modeling. Focused on Spatial and temporal analysis of malaria transmission, HIV/AIDS and population studies in small and large settings. I am also concerned with Surveillance, Monitoring, and Evaluation.
