Biography:
A psychologist with a strong academic background and comprehensive skill set in research, program documentation and capacity building. I hold post-graduation in Clinical Psychology and Doctorate (HIV Counseling) from M S University of Baroda. My practice areas include counseling, design, implementation & evaluation of psychosocial intervention, qualitative research and capacity-building. My counseling practice include dealing with anxiety, pre-marriage, relationship, sexuality issues of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and hijra -GLBTH population, career planning, and research mentoring. With a proven track record of working in both national and international organizations, I seek to build on my experience and analytical skills towards examining socio-cultural determinants of health behavior, developing new strategies and perspectives on public health and child development using psychology and behavioral sciences with life-span perspective. I seek to collaborate with researchers and carry out research in cross-national context using multi-method approach with multi-disciplinary team.
