- Biography:
- Sara Benavides is a researcher for the Binational Energy Laboratory in the Campus Cuernavaca of the Tecnológico de Monterrey. She holds a BSc degree in Electromechanical Engineering by the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León in Monterrey, Mexico. Sara has a Master of Sciences degree in Management and Engineering of Energy and Environment by the Institut des Mines-Télécom in Nantes, France. She has completed a professional stay at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Bonn, Germany where she has collaborated supporting the creation of solutions for the network integration of renewable energy technologies, particularly for Island States. Sara is currently pursuing a PhD project at the Tecnologico de Monterrey. Her subjects of interest are: energy efficiency, energy policies, climate change and its effects, renewable technology for energy generation.
