- Mrs. Amen Ekhosuehi Idehen is currently in pursuit of a Ph.D. in Environmental Sanitation and Waste Management at the Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre in Kumasi, Ghana. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and a Master's degree in Environmental and Public Health Microbiology. Amen's academic journey reflects her broad research interests, which span across various environmental sciences. Her focus lies in environmental management, environmental health monitoring, antimicrobial resistance and bioinformatics. Specifically, She has expertise in the surveillance of pharmaceuticals contaminants and antibiotic resistance genes in environmental samples, highlighting a keen awareness of contemporary environmental challenges. Additionally, She has honed her skills in biomass-based activated carbon synthesis and pharmaceutical removal using adsorption techniques. Beyond her research interests, Amen is dedicated to fostering locally relevant developmental research initiatives.
