Biography:
Dr Sunday Israel Oyebamiji is a researcher, teacher at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban, South Africa. A recipient of the Association of African Universities (AAU) fellowship. He holds his Doctor of Philosophy degree in International Relations from UKZN. He had a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) and Master's in History and Strategic Studies from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, in 2006 and 2010, respectively. Dr Oyebamiji obtained Global Diplomacy and Moral Foundations of Politics certificates from the University of London and Yale. His research interests span across history, international relations, and gender studies; more specifically, he works in the niche of women in migration. As an emerging scholar, he has produced chapters in books and peer-reviewed journal articles and acted as a reviewer for some reputable journals. In teaching and learning, Dr Oyebamiji has taught some courses in Economic History, Political Science and IR at the undergraduate level focused on globalization, political economy, capitalism and development studies more broadly. He is a member of the Midwest Political Science Association (MPSA), the South African Association of Political Studies (SAAPS) and the South African Institute of International Affairs (SAIIA).
