Tea time with AuthorAID: Empowering Research Excellence through Open Science
Teatime with AuthorAID is a monthly community event, where scholars from all over the world join (with their favourite variety of tea/drink), engage in informal conversation, extend their network and explore collaboration opportunities. Unlike a typical webinar, it thrives on informal and immersive discussions between participants and the host, as well as among participants themselves. In this session, especially targeted for early career researchers, we will be hosting an interactive networking session on the theme 'Empowering Research Excellence through Open Science'.
Research excellence is paramount in academic and scientific pursuits. However, traditional practices often limit progress by restricting access to knowledge, stifling collaboration, and hindering innovation. Open Science offers a transformative solution, promoting openness, transparency, and collaboration to accelerate discovery, foster global partnerships, and enhance research quality.
In this discussion, we'll explore Open Science principles and applications, examining benefits, challenges, and success stories to uncover its transformative power in empowering research excellence.
The host of the event is Emmanuel Adamolekun and Seun Olufemi.
