Hello again. This week’s resource is another one to help researchers avoid ethical problems. Recently an AuthorAID community member mentioned this resource. So did a research dean whom I know.
The resource, which is from the publisher Elsevier, is a website titled Ethics in Research & Publication. The website includes
The resource also includes materials to help editors deal with ethical issues.
Colorful, sometimes humorous drawings enliven some parts of this website. One drawing, though, worried me a little: In it, a researcher appears to be handling a flask of green liquid near a coffee cup.
I realize that these drawings are meant mainly to be decorative and symbolic. Of course, researchers should keep harmful substances away from food and drink.
