   The International Society for the Study of Behavioral Development (ISSBD) will be holding a three day regional workshop (South and South East Asia region) on ‘Risk, Protection, and Resilience among Children at-risk: Research and Action Plans’ from Thursday, October 13 – Saturday, October 15, 2011 in Chandigarh, India.

   An intensive 3 day course in scientific writing and pulishing and graphical methods of data presentation.

4. Call for papers: International Journal on Nuclear Energy Management and Safety | 09 October 2011,

   The proper management of nuclear facilities includes access to scientific and scholarly research. Although various scientific journals are devoted to matters related to nuclear energy and its various ramifications, no single journal exclusively focuses on aspects of nuclear energy management and safety. The forthcoming International Journal on Nuclear Energy Management and Safety will address this key area. The Journal will launch in late 2011.

7. Postdoctoral Training Programme at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, University of Ghana, Legon | 06 September 2011, Ghana

   Legon, Ghana with funding support from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has instituted a Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme, to train future research leaders who will contribute to infectious diseases control efforts. Deadline 30th September 2011.

8. Deadline for 2011 TWAS-ROSSA Prize for Young Scientists: Call for Nominations | 03 September 2011, Kenya

   The Academy of Sciences for the Developing World - Regional Office for Sub-Saharan Africa (TWAS-ROSSA) will this year award a prize in the Basic Sciences (Physics, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Nanoscience or Computer Science). The prize will be awarded to a young scientist whose research has made significant contribution to knowledge in the basic sciences. Deadline 3rd September 2011

9. Revised deadline for Next Generation Social Sciences in Africa Fellowships | 02 September 2011,
