New Year's Wishes (and a Call for Suggestions)
Greetings from California, where my husband and I are visiting his sister and her family. We are here for a few days during winter break.
Yesterday we went to Joshua Tree National Park, which is in the desert in California. What a fascinating place! I especially enjoyed learning how the plants and animals have adapted to the dry environment.
Our trip to California is a good way to end 2008. This year has been busy for AuthorAID: Our Web site has grown and developed. More and more researchers have obtained AuthorAID mentors. We have held workshops in Ethiopia, Kenya, and Nicaragua. And we have done other work.
This work has included evaluating our activities and preparing for 2009. For example, we are preparing to expand and otherwise improve our Web site. We have started to plan workshops for 2009. And I have started to think about topics for my blog postings next year.
Are there topics that you would like to me write about? Do you have other suggestions regarding this blog? If so, please tell me by posting a comment. Doing so will help me to serve you and others.
I wish all of you a happy New Year and an excellent 2009. May your research and writing go very well in the coming year. May the year be a happy and healthy one for you and your families. And throughout the world, may 2009 be a year of peace.
