Getting a mentor

Posted by stephen juma ndombi at August 01. 2008

I am interested in malaria, tuberculosis and HIV research. How do I identify an appropriate mentor ? I have noted Professor  David Gordon as a possible mentor. Would he possibly be a reseacher in this field ? If not, I would like to link up with potential mentors in this area of research. Thanks.

Thank you very much for your message. You can search AuthorAID members by going to http://www.authoraid.info//Members/member_search_results to see whether any of the members who have identified themselves as willing to be a mentor have experience relevant to your field of expertise. However, the full search facility is not available yet, but will be coming soon. In the meantime, we will be searching our database and will contact you by email to let you know if we have found a suitable match and what the next steps are. Once a suitable mentor has been found, we encourage all mentoring pairs to fill in the AuthorAID learning agreement, which is attached to this message.
